7th Grade ELAR

Starting Date: Aug 1, 2026

Spearman Jr. High is searching for a 7th grade ELAR teacher for the school year. The position will pay an additional $3,000 for a Master degree. District pays $466 per month toward applicant’s health insurance.

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in English Language Arts and help students fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth.

Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification

• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Develop and implement lesson plans and fulfill the requirements of district's curriculum program
• Plan and use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, equipment and technology that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned and present subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA, board policies and administrative regulations
• Conduct assessment of student learning/achievement through formal and informal testing
• Work cooperatively with other staff members to determine instructional goals, objectives and methods according to district requirements
• Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents, students, colleagues and community members
• Comply with state, district, and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $39,742 to $69,540 Per Year

• Bachelor degree preferred.
