Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site High School Science Teacher role located in Aubrey, TX. The High School Science Teacher will design and deliver engaging standards-based lessons in subjects such as Physics and Environmental Science, using a variety of instructional strategies and technologies. Responsibilities include developing and updating curriculum, preparing lesson plans and assessments, grading student work, and providing timely feedback to support student learning.

The teacher will manage classroom routines, maintain a safe and respectful learning environment, and communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues. Additional duties include participating in professional development, collaborating on campus and district initiatives, and contributing to school events and committees as needed.

Qualifications
  • Strong instructional planning skills, including Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, to design effective, standards-aligned science instruction.
  • Content knowledge in Physics and Environmental Science, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and accessibly to high school learners.
  • Excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Valid state teaching certification (or eligibility) in Secondary Science or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science Education, Physics, Environmental Science, or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom that supports diverse learners, including those with varying abilities and backgrounds.
  • Proficiency with educational technology, learning management systems, and data-informed instruction.
  • Strong classroom management, organization, and time management skills, with a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
