Provide instructional assistance to students under the supervision of a certified teacher and assist with coaching duties.

• Provide instruction to students under the direction of the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
• Assist the teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help the teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Help supervise students throughout the school day, inside and outside the classroom, including the lunchroom, bus, and gym.
• Inform the teacher of special needs or problems of individual students.
• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
• Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.

• Associate’s degree, two years of study at an institution of higher learning, or have met formal academic assessment requirements (preferred).
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate (the district can help with obtaining this).
• Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Ability to work well with children.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Some experience working with children.

• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
