Lecturer in Computer Science – Teaching and Scholarship
Two highly motivated, teaching-focused academics are sought to join the School of Computer Science & Informatics at the University of Liverpool.
OverviewThe role focuses primarily on delivering the School’s computer‑science programmes through transnational education partnerships, with an initial emphasis on teaching in Fuzhou, China. Holders will spend part of the academic year working with the Liverpool team in Fuzhou through agreed teaching blocks, coordinated to meet programme needs.
Key Responsibilities• Teach and assess within the School’s computer‑science programmes.
• Provide student support and supervise projects.
• Liaise with partner colleagues and contribute to the quality assurance of overseas Liverpool programmes.
• Participate in the School’s academic community and contribute to activities in Liverpool as required.
• A PhD in Computer Science or a closely related subject, or equivalent academic/professional experience acceptable under University appointment criteria.
• Teaching experience in higher education is strongly preferred.
• Experience teaching international cohorts, working with overseas partners, or supporting transnational education delivery is an advantage.
