adjunct computer aided drafting and design technology instructor
this position involves teaching computer-aided drafting and design courses using current computer software. Instructors deliver courses in a variety of settings and formats, including dual credit, online, hybrid, and occasionally weekend/evening sessions.
salary: $700 per credit hour.
responsibilities- teach no more than 19 trs hours of computer aided design and drafting courses per long semester (fall/spring). Provide assistance to students outside of class.
- develop and modify curriculum as necessary; participate as a team member in the industrial technology department and comply with all faculty responsibilities outlined in college policies.
- contribute to the campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes to meet thecb core objectives and sacscoc requirements.
- perform other duties as assigned by the dean and department chair.

- collaborate with industrial technology department faculty.
- participate in professional development and stay current in both the professional field and in current teaching and learning practices.
- professional experience: at least 3 years as a design drafter, including orthographic projection, sectioning, auxiliary views, dimensioning, production tolerancing, and descriptive geometry. Demonstrated proficiency in autocad and microstation, and familiarity with autocad, autodesk inventor, revit architecture, creo, solidworks, 3d autocad, geometrical dimensioning, and tolerance.
- education: associate or higher degree with at least two years of related non‑teaching experience in a qualifying field (e.g., cadd/industrial design).
- other skills: preferred candidate has at least two years of teaching experience and experience tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing data, and implementing improvement plans, as well as knowledge in mechanical or civil drafting.
