CTE ARD Representative
The CTE ARD Representative is responsible for managing the admission, review, and dismissal processes for students with special needs within Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, remotely. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including teachers, administrators, and parents, to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Texas Teaching Career & Technical Education (CTE) Certification required
- Experience in special education and/or CTE programs required
- Understanding of IDEA and other relevant special education regulations
- Working knowledge of local, state and national CTE curriculum standards
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, local laws, guidelines, and procedures
- Knowledge about instructional materials, technology, and state evaluation methods.
- Skilled in communicating effectively with others
- Skilled in using computer tools, including but not limited to, email, virtual meetings, internet, word/google documents and spreadsheets
- Skilled in working in collaborative, team-based environments
- Skilled in working with and presenting to diverse populations of students, parents, and community members
- Ability to exercise good judgment in decision-making, especially in difficult circumstances
- Skilled in human relationships, conflict resolution strategies, and team building methods and techniques.
- Minimum of 2 years of successful career and technical education teaching experience
- Special Education ARD experience required
- Dependable home internet required.

Working Conditions:
Able to maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Position requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, pulling, overhead reaching, sitting, and keyboarding. Position requires the ability to lift 25 pounds to waist high.
