General Position Summary

Lead the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of Career Pathways, Integrated Education and Training (IET), industry credential, and Community Education initiatives within Adult Education. Develop strategic partnerships with employers, community organizations, workforce partners, and postsecondary programs to create pathways that support student success, credential attainment, employment, and postsecondary transition. Serve as the primary lead, with the Director, for career pathway development, industry‑recognized credential programs, employer engagement, and community education expansion.

Starting Pay

Starting Pay: $50,000 - $60,000, depending upon years of experience and level of education

Schedule

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or as needed outside this schedule for classes, employer meetings, recruitment events, community outreach activities, special events, and student needs.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution
  • Three years of experience in Adult Education, workforce development, training, career services, community education, economic development, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating programs, projects, partnerships, or educational initiatives.
  • Satisfactory background check
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution.
  • Experience developing and implementing Career Pathways or Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs.
  • Experience managing grants or grant‑funded programs.
  • Experience working with employers, workforce boards, economic development organizations, or industry partners.
  • Five years of related professional experience.
  • Certified Workforce Development Professional by the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals
Minimum Skills
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with student information systems and reporting systems.
  • Experience with Canvas or other learning management systems.
  • Experience with labor market information and career pathway design.
  • Grant writing and grant management experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Essential Functions
  • Lead the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all Career Pathways and IET programs.
  • Develop and expand career pathways aligned with labor market demand and postsecondary opportunities.
  • Coordinate existing and future IET programs, including healthcare, construction, transportation, manufacturing, hospitality, digital literacy, financial literacy, and other workforce‑aligned initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, workforce boards, and community partners.
  • Identify opportunities for new industry‑recognized credential programs and community education offerings.
  • Coordinate community education courses, workshops, camps, and non‑credit training opportunities.
  • Assist with development and implementation of employer‑sponsored training and customized training opportunities.
