Role DescriptionThe Secondary Spanish Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in Haslet, TX. This role is responsible for planning and delivering daily Spanish language instruction to secondary-level students, using engaging, standards-aligned lessons. The teacher designs and implements curriculum, prepares instructional materials, assesses student progress, and provides feedback to support language acquisition and cultural understanding. Daily responsibilities include managing the classroom environment, differentiating instruction for varied learning needs, collaborating with colleagues and families, and participating in campus and district initiatives.
The teacher also maintains accurate records, attends meetings and professional development, and upholds district policies and expectations for student safety and well-being.
- Demonstrated skills in Spanish Teaching and general Teaching at the secondary level.
- Ability to create effective Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development aligned to district and state standards.
- Experience providing individualized support through Tutoring and small-group instruction.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to support instruction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field; appropriate state teaching certification or eligibility required.
