Pre K-12 Principal (Paducah ISD)

Paducah ISD, a 1A School District in Cottle County, Southeast Texas Panhandle, seeks a qualified campus principal to lead and manage instructional and operational functions.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited university;
    Valid Texas Principal Certification preferred
  • Valid Texas Educator Certification
  • Minimum of three years classroom teaching experience
  • Proven ability to organize and manage campus-wide and district programs
  • Strong data interpretation skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of educational process organization, assessment, and testing procedures
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth with required continuing education hours
  • Willingness to obtain Texas CDL with passenger endorsement and Texas School Bus Driving Certification within first year of employment, if not already held
  • Must reside within the district boundaries
Responsibilities
  • Oversee instructional programs, daily operations, and personnel at the campus level
  • Demonstrate leadership to ensure high instructional standards
  • Ensure compliance with district policies, state and federal laws, and success of instructional programs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with teachers, students, parents, and community members
  • Represent the campus professionally as its face
  • Prioritize stakeholder communication across all groups
  • Validate program effectiveness and adapt based on data-driven decisions
  • Inspect adherence to district curriculum, scope, sequence, and assessment alignment
  • Collaborate on planning, operation, supervision, and evaluation with campus and district committees
  • Engage parents, students, and community members when appropriate
  • Ensure all campus personnel have clear, written job descriptions
  • Communicate schedules and events to stakeholders using calendars, Remind app, staff meetings, and school outreach
  • Host and oversee PLC meetings with up-to-date data
  • Define and promote performance requirements for staff and students
  • Coach teachers on student learning gaps, instructional practices, and differentiation
  • Develop and monitor Student Learning Objectives (SLOs)
  • Serve as campus behavior coordinator, maintaining a safe, orderly environment during all school periods
  • Promote mandatory mandatory discipline procedures per Student Code of Conduct and Handbook
  • Provide resources and materials to support instructional goals
