Assistant Professional Track – Sports Management Agency

Position located at East Texas A&M University, Department of Health & Human Performance.

The Department seeks a highly qualified, non‑tenure‑track professional to teach and serve as program lead for the B.S. in Sport and Recreation Management.

• Teach courses in Sport and Recreation Management.
• Coordinate internships for Sport & Recreation Management students.
• Coordinate and grow the undergraduate program in Sport and Recreation Management.
• Contribute to curriculum development and design courses in areas of expertise.
• Demonstrate commitment to effective and innovative pedagogy.

• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and governance.
• Contribute to the professional community through reviewing, conference participation, and organizational service.
• Engage in outreach or community engagement consistent with the university mission.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with businesses and organizations in the sport management industry.
• Lead recruitment and retention efforts for the sport management programs.

• Terminal degree in Sport Management, Sport Leadership, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated record of effective teaching in both in‑person and online courses.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals.

• Experience in interdisciplinary research and collaboration.
• Experience mentoring and advising students.
