Waypoint Academy runs its core academics through self‑directed, AI‑driven adaptive platforms that condense traditional instruction into focused morning sessions. There are no lectures. This structure frees you to focus on the work that genuinely shifts outcomes for students. Your mornings may begin with a one‑on‑one coaching conversation with a Guide, analyzing student performance data to identify where a group is struggling.

By midday, you're facilitating outdoor workshops that build teamwork and resilience through real, hands‑on challenges. Afternoons are reserved for motivation work: meeting individually with students, understanding what moves them, and helping a disengaged student reconnect with their own goals. You manage your own student cohort throughout, ensuring you remain grounded in the same skills you're coaching others to develop.

• Provide coaching to the Guides working with you: analyze performance metrics, observe their interactions with students, and conclude each session with clear, actionable steps to improve outcomes.
• Facilitate hour‑long outdoor life‑skills workshops where students in grades K‑12 develop leadership, resilience, communication, and teamwork through adventure‑based activities.
• Conduct motivation sessions informed by student analytics and Coachbot insights to ensure every student progresses toward their goals and takes responsibility for their growth.
• Maintain responsibility for your own student cohort while coaching other Guides, ensuring your feedback is rooted in active practice rather than past experience.
• Monitor student satisfaction, goal achievement, and Guide effectiveness on a weekly basis to identify and address issues before they escape escalation.

• Delivering lectures or providing academic tutoring. Students engage with material through self‑directed adaptive software, frequently without direct adult supervision.
• Creating curriculum or designing lesson plans from the ground up. Established playbooks are in place; your role is to execute them with fidelity and energy, not reinvent them.
• Coaching Guides on instructional delivery. Since Guides do not lecture, your coaching focuses on motivation, accountability, and interpersonal presence with students.
• Compromising standards to avoid conflict. You will not advance students prematurely or overlook underperformance in Guides.
• Confining students indoors to seated learning. A significant portion of development at Waypoint occurs outside, through experiential challenge.

Ensure that every student in your cohort is engaged with school, demonstrates academic growth, and develops the character and life skills necessary for long‑term success.

• Available to work on‑site at Waypoint Academy in Dripping Springs, Texas.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, business, outdoor education, recreation, youth development, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education, youth development, coaching, outdoor education, or learning and development (L&D).
