Proposed Minimum Salary: Commensurate with education and experience

This position is available in the Department of Mathematics within Brailsford College of Arts & Sciences. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate courses in mathematics and statistics for both majors and non‑majors, as assigned. The teaching load is up to 6 credit hours per semester, based on availability; duties may also include administration and/or service.

Position will begin in Fall 2026 and may continue on an as‑needed basis.

Responsibilities
  • Teach mathematics and statistics courses (in‑class, hybrid, and/or Internet synchronous and asynchronous) as assigned.
  • Tutor, grade, keep records, post grades (mid‑term and final), submit attendance reporting, maintain office hours, submit departmental end‑of‑semester clearance items, and comply with rules, policies of the department, college, university, and Texas A&M University System.
  • Perform services to the department, college, university, and the profession.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
  • Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours (SCH) of Mathematics or Statistics.
  • No prior teaching experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Planning and organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Statistics or Mathematics with graduate courses in statistics.
  • Certification required to teach online;
    Quality Matters certification recognized.
  • Equivalent of three years full‑time university‑level teaching experience in mathematics and/or statistics.
  • Evidence of successful and effective undergraduate teaching.
