First Baptist Church-Everman is seeking a ministry student whose primary focus will be building and multiplying a biblically grounded youth group. The intern will reach and disciple students, connect families to the life of the church, develop volunteers and sustainable ministry systems, and provide secondary assistance to children's ministry as assigned.

Build, strengthen, and multiply a youth ministry that forms students as disciples of Jesus and connects them meaningfully to the local church, while supporting safe and biblically faithful children's ministry.

• Develop and implement an approved plan to build and multiply the youth group.
• Establish a biblically faithful youth Bible-study and discipleship structure.
• Build appropriate ministry relationships with students and families.
• Invite and connect students to worship, Bible study, discipleship, service, and outreach.
• Develop student outreach opportunities in Everman and the surrounding community.
• Encourage students toward Scripture, prayer, fellowship, service, evangelism, and faithful participation in the whole church.
• Develop a reproducible ministry model that equips volunteers and student leaders rather than depending permanently on the intern.
• Plan approved youth gatherings, discipleship meetings, service projects, outreach events, and parent communication.
• Provide secondary assistance to children's ministry through curriculum preparation, classroom or event support, family communication, check-in procedures, or volunteer coordination as assigned.
• Follow all church child-safety policies, supervision standards, background-check requirements, communication rules, and ministry boundaries.

• Participate faithfully in the full internship program and serve under the authority of First Baptist Church-Everman leadership.
• Attend all required Sunday services and weekly ministry gatherings, including internship discipleship, Bible Study, morning and evening worship, Wednesday prayer meeting, Thursday A/V walkthrough, and role-specific meetings or activities.
• Commit a minimum of 10 hours per week; preparation, projects, special events, and ministry needs may require additional time in some weeks.
• Participate in the internship discipleship curriculum guided by Kingdom:
  Explorations of the Sermon on the Mount.
• Collaborate on the "A New Creation" new-believer curriculum using the designated guide, Scripture, and the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Submit a written individual project proposal within the first month and complete the approved project before the internship concludes.
• Participate in orientation, regular supervision, coaching, and formal evaluations.
• Maintain dependable communication, appropriate conduct and ministry boundaries, confidentiality, and a servant-hearted posture.
• Assist with growth and development of children's ministry

• Student at Texas Baptist College, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, or another approved seminary or Bible college.
• Demonstrated call or serious interest in youth ministry, children's ministry, Christian education, family ministry, or local-church discipleship.
• Successful completion of required background checks, child-safety training, and ministry screening before serving with minors.
• Demonstrated maturity, dependability, teachability, and appropriate relational and communication boundaries.
• Ability to relate well to students, children, parents, and volunteers and to communicate biblical truth in age-appropriate ways.
• Intends to pursue vocational ministry, particularly in or related to the internship’s area of focus.
• Affirms and will uphold the doctrinal commitments of First Baptist Church-Everman.
