Special Education Inclusion Aide
Assist the special education teacher and general education teachers in providing instructional, behavioral, and classroom support to students receiving special education services in the general education setting. The Special Education Inclusion Aide will support students with accommodations, modifications, assignments, behavior needs, and classroom routines to help students access instruction and make progress toward their Individualized Education Program goals.
Assist students receiving special education services in the general education classroom.
Support students with assignments, instructional activities, classroom participation, and organization.
Reinforce instructional concepts introduced by the teacher.
Assist with implementation of accommodations and modifications as outlined in students' IEPs.
Help students remain engaged, focused, and prepared for instruction.
Provide small-group or one-on-one support under the direction of the teacher.
Assist with the use of instructional materials, technology, and adaptive tools as needed.
Monitor and support students during classroom instruction, transitions, lunch, arrival, dismissal, and other assigned activities.
Assist students with social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs.
Redirect inappropriate behavior using positive behavior support strategies.
Promote student independence while providing appropriate support.
Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Support students during assessments in accordance with allowable accommodations.
Maintain confidentiality of student information at all times.
Collect data, track student progress, and maintain documentation as directed by the special education teacher or case manager.
Communicate student progress, concerns, or needs to the appropriate teacher or administrator.
Participate in meetings or trainings as requested.
Assist teachers with preparing materials, organizing student work, and maintaining instructional records.
Work collaboratively with special education teachers, general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and other campus staff.
Follow teacher and administrator directions regarding student support and classroom expectations.
Support campus and district special education procedures and expectations.
Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility in daily assignments.
Assist with campus supervision and duty assignments as needed.
Attend required district and campus trainings.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Computer, copier, printer, instructional technology, adaptive equipment, communication devices, and other classroom materials.
Ability to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, follow directions, manage multiple student needs, remain calm under pressure, and maintain emotional control under stress.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and assisting students. May require lifting, positioning, or supporting students with mobility or physical needs as assigned.
Work is performed in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, outdoor areas, and other campus settings. Frequent interaction with students, staff, and parents. May be exposed to challenging student behaviors.
