Substitute Teacher and Aide Opportunities

Substitute applications will not be processed until mid-August.

Before you can substitute in any area, you must complete and pass a background check through fingerprinting with Idento Go. Once you submit your application, you will receive an email with a link to schedule your fingerprinting appointment. If you have previously completed fingerprinting for a Texas school district, you will be in the TxDPS Clearinghouse system and will not need to redo fingerprinting.

However, if you wish to substitute at the daycare, you will still need to be fingerprinted through them as well. Once you have completed all requirements, you will be added to the sub list.

If you would like to sub at the daycare, in maintenance, custodial, or transportation, complete the appropriate substitute application for that area.

You must complete the substitute training if you would like to sub in the classroom. The district will post on its website and Facebook when substitute training will be held.

Substitute Teacher

Non-Certified = $80.00 per day / $100.00 a day after 15 consecutive days/same teacher

Certified = $90.00 per day / $150 a day after 15 consecutive days/same teacher

Substitute Aide

$70.00 per day / $80.00 a day after 15 consecutive days/same aide
