Bring your expertise in educational psychology to an engaging position supporting elementary students for the upcoming academic year. A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated school psychologist to perform vital student assessments within a welcoming K-12 environment near Wylie, TX. This onsite role allows you to focus on evaluation and testing, as the school’s counseling needs are already met by internal staff.

Qualifications:
  • Current and active Texas School Psychologist license required
  • Background in conducting psycho-educational assessments for elementary-age youth
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to efficiently manage 3-4 evaluations per week
  • Experience working in an itinerant capacity is a plus
  • Collaborative and flexible, thriving in dynamic school settings
Role Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for K-5 students as part of special education eligibility and programming
  • Prepare detailed reports and present findings at multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Travel between assigned campuses as needed within the district
  • Coordinate with teachers, special educators, and administrators to support student learning plans
  • Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality practices in all evaluations and documentation

This is a great chance to impact young learners’ success by providing clear and actionable evaluation, with a structured caseload and supportive environment. The position is a contract role starting August 3rd, 2026, through May 27th, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours and coverage for one open position.
