The Teacher provides high-quality instruction that supports students' academic growth, critical thinking, and engagement in learning. At CISD, this role ensures students receive rigorous, standards-aligned instruction and meaningful learning experiences that prepare them for future academic and career opportunities. Teachers build positive classroom environments, monitor student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure every student receives the support needed to succeed.

The Teacher develops lesson plans aligned with state standards and district curriculum. Uses assessment data to inform instruction. Designs lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners. Delivers engaging instruction that promotes critical thinking and student participation. Uses a variety of instructional strategies to support student learning. Provides opportunities for student discussion, writing, and problem-solving. Monitors student progress through formative and summative assessments.

Provides timely feedback to students. Adjusts instruction based on student performance data. Establishes a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
