This individual is committed to implementing High-Impact Tutoring (HIT) with fidelity, using student data to inform instruction, collaborating with classroom teachers to support student achievement, participating in ongoing professional learning, and delivering high-quality after school and summer programming in accordance with district policies and Texas ACE/Nita M.

Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) grant requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Certification:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • College-level student or college graduate

Experience:

  • Experience working with elementary-age students in an educational, after school, enrichment, childcare, or youth development setting, preferred
  • Experience supporting small-group instruction, tutoring, and enrichment activities, preferred
  • Experience assisting with student supervision, behavior management, and engagement in structured learning environments, preferred
  • Ability to follow instructional guidance, program schedules, and Texas ACE grant expectations under the supervision of a site coordinator
  • Familiarity with Texas ACE, 21 st Century Community Learning Centers (21 st CCLC), or other educational program requirements, preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of basic computer applications and district-approved systems used for communication and documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student information with professionalism and discretion
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively and effectively with students, families, and campus staff
  • Ability to follow program procedures, schedules, and guidance provided by the Texas ACE Site Coordinator
