Part‑time Lecturer in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, College of Arts & Letters, San Diego State University. Appointment includes teaching of specific courses listed below.

Appointment Details

Temporary appointment: full‑ or part‑time. Appointments may be made immediately prior to the start of an academic term; applicants must be available on short notice. Fall term: mid‑August to late‑December. Spring term: mid‑January to mid‑May. Summer session opportunities possible. Initial appointment one semester or one academic year, with renewal contingent on satisfactory evaluations and continued availability. Application will remain in the applicant pool during the academic year submitted.

Qualifications
  • Minimum graduate degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies or related field.
  • University teaching experience.
  • Experience in individualized instruction from an intersectional and/or transnational perspective.

Salary

Initial rank and salary based on professional experience and educational background. Most new appointees hired at Lecturer A or B rank.

  • Lecturer A: $5,507 – $6,677
  • Lecturer B: $6,221 – $13,224
  • Lecturer C: $6,825 – $14,523
  • Lecturer D: $8,593 – $15,211
