To provide instructional leadership and manage the daily operations of the High school/ Junior High campus. The Principal is responsible for directing the instructional program, supervising staff, and ensuring a safe, orderly environment that promotes high expectations for student achievement and Texas EOC (End-of-Course) success. Twelve month contract. Compensation package is compaerable with area.
Major Responsibilities and Duties 1. Instructional LeadershipCurriculum Implementation: Monitor the delivery of the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) to ensure rigorous instruction.
T-TESS Management: Lead the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) process, providing meaningful feedback to teachers through observations and walk-throughs.
Data Analysis: Lead Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) in analyzing STAAR, EOC, SAT/ACT, and CCMR (College, Career, and Military Readiness) data to close achievement gaps.
Budgeting: Manage the campus budget based on documented program needs, estimated enrollment, and state/federal funding requirements.
Safety & Security: Act as the primary authority for the Multi-Hazard Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) and ensure compliance with Texas school safety standards (e.g., door audits, drills).
Master Scheduling: Oversee the creation of a master schedule that maximizes instructional time and meets graduation requirements (Foundation High School Program).
Discipline: Apply the Student Code of Conduct fairly and consistently; oversee DAEP (Disciplinary Alternative Education Program) placements and appeals.
Attendance: Monitor and enforce the "90% Rule" for credit as dictated by the Texas Education Code
Recruitment: Interview, select, and orient new staff members.
Professional Development: Identify and provide professional development opportunities that align with the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP).
