Primary
Purpose:
Provide assistance to teachers, students, and staff in creating a cohesive environment for students during their lunch periods.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED.
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
Ability to work with children, follow verbal and written instructions, communicate effectively.
Experience: Some experience working with children.
Major
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Help manage behavior of students, including intervening in crisis situations and restraining disruptive or dangerous student behavior as needed.
- Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Working Conditions: Mental and physical demands include maintaining emotional control under stress, frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, regular heavy lifting of students, exposure to bacteria and communicable diseases.
