. Employees in TRS-eligible positions participate in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS).

Eligible employees are required to contribute a portion of their salary to TRS retirement and TRS-Care through automatic payroll deductions. TRS is a defined-benefit retirement system, and employees generally become vested after earning five years of TRS service credit

The Goodwill Excel Center Adult High School is currently recruiting for a Social Studies Teacher for our Billy Moore Campus located at 8500 FM 3053, Overton TX 75684.

The Social Studies Teacher is responsible for implementing, developing, and executing instruction of the Goodwill Excel Center vocational curriculum. The Social Studies Teacher will employ a student-centered approach, effectively tailoring the instructional strategies to the individual students’ needs and approaching instruction with creativity and innovation. Strategies may include, but are not limited to direct instruction, one-to-one instruction, seminars, small group learning, self-paced lessons, blended learning and courses, and online learning tools.
