Large Correctives Technician Associate

Reports to and assists the Supervisor of the Large Correctives department in managing and coordinating the large correctives activities performed for RWE Americas Operations. The role ensures safe, efficient operations, minimizes costs, and optimizes performance in alignment with RWE Americas’ mission and essential behaviors.

• Ensure that all operations and maintenance activities are performed safely and consistently with site policies and procedures.
• Perform up‑tower major component replacements on multiple turbine manufacturers, including GE, Siemens, Vestas, Gamesa, and/or Mitsubishi.
• Assist in the transportation, setup, and operation of up‑tower gearbox replacement tools.
• Maintain proper storage, maintenance, and handling of all large corrective tools and equipment.
• Travel up to five weeks at a time with at least one week of return‑home rotation.
• Work safely and independently at remote wind farm locations; be self‑motivated.
• Obtain and maintain an RWE Americas‑sponsored commercial driver license (CDL) if requested for mobilization of main component equipment.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
• Minimum two years overall experience with at least one year in operations and/or maintenance of power generation and related facilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to make cost‑efficient decisions and act independently without specific directions.
• High standards of integrity, honor, ethics, safety, productivity, and attention to detail.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Pass a fit‑for‑duty medical examination upon hiring and every two years thereafter; maintain a body weight of 270 lbs or less.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work safely in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, etc.).
• Ability to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the work day.
• Willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned.
• Flexibility and full range of movement in confined spaces.

• Primarily a field environment with potential hazardous conditions such as working at heights up to 300 ft, operating in confined spaces, exposure to blood borne pathogens, energized electrical and rotating equipment, and extreme hot and cold conditions.
