Solar Technician - Associate​/I​/II

This is a multi-level posting. Applicants may apply for positions for which they possess at least the minimum education and/or experience. Applicants with experience beyond the minimum will be considered for the advanced levels.

Associate Solar Technician

* High school diploma or general education degree; with one to three years of experience or related education of power plant operation/maintenance or equivalent education and experience.

* Demonstrates basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical fundamentals of PV systems in power facilities.

* A valid US driver's license is required.

* Salary Range: $28.51 - $40.24

Solar Technician I

* A two-year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman certificate/qualification is preferred. High school diploma or general education degree. (Typically, one year of demonstrated knowledge of one or more years of experience in a power plant or PV Solar Operations/Maintenance /EPC experience is required for candidate applying for this position who do not possess a high school or general education degree.)

* Two plus years of field experience with significant experience in one or more of the following:
Instrumentation/Electrical, Instrument and Control (I&C), and/or C&I Electrician experience will be considered in lieu of applicable solar experience.

* Demonstrates basic knowledge of operational characteristics of equipment and associated control devices installed in power facilities.

* A valid US driver's license is required.

* Salary Range: $32.84 - $46.35

Solar Technician II

* Possess a two-year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman certificate/qualification and four years of solar field experience. Significant Instrumentation & Electrical experience, Instrumentation & Control and/or C&I Electrician experience will be considered in lieu of applicable solar experience.

* Ability to troubleshoot equipment and system problems; detect and correct faulty instruments and control devices; install special or sensitive instruments. Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals (Journeyman skills) such as electrical measurements, control circuits and solid-state theory application.

* Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
