Senior RES & Demand Power Trader (Attica) Responsibilities
- Executes electricity trading transactions in the markets with the aim of optimal portfolio positioning
- Monitors European electricity markets and responds promptly to changes in supply, demand and prices
- Analyzes real-time renewable energy sources (RES) generation forecasts and energy demand to support trading decisions
- Collaborates with the market analysis team to integrate data and enhance the accuracy of decision-making
- Contributes to the development of trading strategies based on data analysis and market trends
- Acts as a dispatcher for renewable energy sources (RES) plants when immediate intervention is required due to market conditions (e.g., negative prices, system constraints)
- Oversees the availability of renewable energy (RES) generation units and communicates with Producers and System Operators (ADMIE, HEDNO)
- Bachelor’s degree from a University in Sciences
- Master’s degree related to Energy will be considered an additional qualification
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience as an energy portfolio trader
- Understanding of the operation of European electricity markets (Day-Ahead, Intraday, Balancing)
- Energy Trading certification
- Knowledge of a programming language (e.g., Python)
- Knowledge of Power BI will be considered an additional qualification
- Knowledge of Generative AI and/or Agentic AI frameworks will be considered an additional qualification
- Knowledge of algorithmic trading software will be considered an additional qualification
- Knowledge of data management, visualization and analysis tools will be considered an additional qualification
- Good knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet
- Availability in flexible working hours
