Location: Athena West Colonia

Conventional Units Portfolio Scheduler (Attica) Responsibilities

  • Plans the operation of energy portfolios managed by the Department on a daily to weekly rolling horizon
  • Communicates with the relevant Departments of the company to collect and process the required data for the preparation of bids in the relevant short-term markets
  • Manages data required for the daily participation of the Department in the relevant short-term markets
  • Develops procedures that ensure the proper operation of the daily short-term market shift and prepares reports on the efficiency of these procedures
  • Submits physical schedules of conventional portfolios to the competent System Operators and Energy Exchanges (indicatively, physical delivery bilateral contract schedules, test schedules, mandatory water releases), ensuring compliance with the regulatory framework
  • Creates and manages activity reports of the energy portfolios managed by the Department to Energy Exchanges, Administrators and Supervisory Authorities
  • Supports intraday trading activity
  • Provides job‑related training to the portfolio schedulers team, in cooperation with the respective supervisor, supporting knowledge transfer and ensuring consistent operating practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from a University or Diploma in Engineering or Science or Economics or another relevant field
  • Master’s degree related to energy markets will be considered an additional qualification
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience in an environment involving power generation scheduling, energy markets, data analysis, and/or operational support
  • Experience in an energy‑sector company will be considered an additional qualification
  • Certification as an electricity energy trader in short-term markets will be considered an additional qualification
  • Good knowledge of the English language
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet
  • Availability in case of emergency (upon phone contact)
