The Production Technician I works directly with operations engineers and field foremen to analyze, maintain, and troubleshoot well operations. This position centers on data acquisition, primarily fluid level measurement, and dynamometer tests, while supporting the broader operations group by managing multiple priorities under appropriate supervision.

• Check fluid levels and dynamometer tests on each well monthly and as needed, track any changes following the well service unit activity.
• Track and analyze weekly fluid levels and make recommendations for optimization.
• Troubleshoot surface pumping unit operations to ensure system is working efficiently, call for services when the need arises.
• Monitor ESP surface controllers to ensure sub-surface equipment is functioning as planned.
• Understand power supply (overhead, generator, IC engine) issues and discuss issues with supervisors as warranted.
• Troubleshoot wells when contacted by engineers or operators regarding operational issues.
• Ensure programming and configurations in POC and VFDs on rod pump applications.
• Handle additional duties as needed.

• 2 years’ experience in upstream or midstream process operations.
• Working knowledge of instrumentation and electrical standards and practices.
• Practical understanding of oil and gas production processes.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical matters.
• Efficiently navigate a personal computer with MS Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and co-workers.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively with minimal oversight.

• 4 years’ experience in upstream or midstream process operations with 1 to 2 years of diagnostic and automation focus.

• Oilfield experience.
• Demonstrated ability to comprehend, retain, and comply with verbal and written driver safety standards established by Jetta, and monitored through company vehicle safety monitoring program.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ driving experience.
• Must have and maintain a valid and unexpired Texas Driver License.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

• Climbing 16’ or 25’ stairs
• Frequently lifting, up to 50 lbs. individually and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
• Occasionally working in severe weather conditions including extreme hot and cold temperatures
• Muddy and wet conditions are frequent
• H2S Certification will be required within 90 days of employment;
