Pipeline Operator - Crane

As a Pipeline Operator, you are the backbone of our midstream operations in Crane, Texas. You will keep our network of pipelines, tanks, pump stations, and gathering facilities running safely and efficiently. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate measurement and safe transport of crude oil. In this role, success means operating safely, maintaining compliance with federal regulations, and ensuring the accurate custody transfer of crude oil. You will balance physical field tasks with meticulous record‑keeping.

• Manage the safe movement of petroleum products in and out of pipeline pump stations and storage assets.
• Conduct routine physical inspections of pumps, valves, and facility perimeter security to ensure everything is operating correctly.
• Accurately measure the quality and quantity of crude oil, utilizing testing tools and maintaining precise records for custody transfer.
• Perform required DOT inspections on tanks, safety equipment, and right‑of‑way (ROW) areas.
• Communicate regularly with the Pipeline Control Center to coordinate daily operations and product scheduling.
• Witness meter provings and crude oil shipments, and run pipeline pigs as needed to maintain line integrity.

• First 6 Months: Get acclimated to our specific safety protocols, facilities in Crane, and successfully complete your initial Operator Qualifications (OQs) and Haz‑Mat training.
• Long‑term: Develop advanced skills to calculate fluid flow, manage batch scheduling, and operate with high independence. You will become a key technical resource for the local operations group.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (extremes of heat and cold) and navigate varied terrains.
• Physical capability to lift or carry equipment up to 50 pounds, climb, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to participate in an on‑call rotation, work overtime, and travel occasionally as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with an aptitude for precise record‑keeping.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship.
• Compliance with pre‑employment screenings, including a background check and drug and alcohol testing.

• Prior experience in pipeline operations, oil and gas, or a similar industrial field.
• Basic computer skills and comfort learning technical operational software.
• Existing knowledge of DOT safety regulations and liquid measurement procedures.
