Description And Requirements Who We Are

This is an on-site position working out of Cooper, TX.

The Opportunity

This position will involve work at renewable energy projects including solar PV and energy storage power plant as assigned and qualified, maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting AC and DC circuits ranging from medium voltage (345kV and below) to 12

VDC. The equipment that will need to be maintained includes station service electrical equipment such as motors, and motor controls, electrical switch gear, transformers, inverters, solar PV panels, panel tracking mechanisms, BESS systems, electrical protective devices, main and auxiliary generators, lighting, power supplies, HVAC systems, security and battery support systems. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting and overhauling such equipment as well as preventative and predictive maintenance activities for the aforementioned equipment.

The position will serve as a Lead Technician who will directly supervise day-to-day activity of the O&M Technicians (up to 10 personnel). This will involve daily scheduling of activities, support activities for the Site Manager, review / create work procedures, and support daily activities of Technicians by providing technical advice when needed. Attend meetings at the request of the local Site Manager and fill in when required.

Lead Tech’s review manuals and schematic diagrams to determine the tasks, tools, equipment and parts needed and will coordinate Plan of Days, help troubleshoot complicated issues, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the technicians.

Responsibilities (What You'll Do at Enel)
  • Adherence to the company's values and behaviors as defined by the EGPNA policies and handbooks
  • Provide leadership to a team of up to 10 Technicians with a focus on reliability-based philosophies to include executing prioritized work schedules, mentoring, coaching, and evaluating performance
  • Responsible to execute daily scheduling philosophy utilizing a prioritized list of work provided by Planning with a focus on safety, maximizing availability and also ensuring proactive work is prioritized and completed.
  • Installs, tests, maintains and troubleshoots minor components and assist with some major components
  • Perform current and voltage calculations as necessary
  • Complete reports and records associated with maintenance and repairs
  • Complete Lock‑Out‑Tag‑Out (LOTO), JSA's, Permit to Work and job specific documentation that is required to conduct maintenance and repairs in a safe manner
  • Proactively look for improvement opportunities to job appropriate processes and procedures
  • Perform data collection and prepare reports in order to meet reporting requirements
  • Perform balance of plant and switchyard work as required
  • Responsible for facilitating training requirements such as tasked based certifications, safety training, and compliance training
  • Effectively gather information regarding plant performance/issues. May diagnose, recommend, and implement solutions up to intermediate routine issues.
  • Act as a safety role model, encourage and recognize others completing safe acts and intervene when unsafe acts are being practiced
  • Perform a variety of administrative duties satisfying both internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Identify gaps in safety standards and safety risks in the environment
  • Implement effective risk mitigation and provide recommendations to higher level technical staff and management
  • Demonstrate and promote integrity, strong initiative, and a no‑compromise focus on safety and quality of work on a continuous basis
  • Read schematics in order to troubleshoot complicated mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems control systems, and components
  • Review completed service checklists for accuracy and maintain punch list for future work activities
  • Perform data collection and prepare reports in order to meet reporting requirements
  • Responsible for responding to site emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as needed
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of time.
