Trading Expert - Flexible Assets (Attica)

• Manages the participation of flexible energy portfolios in the Day-Ahead Market, Intraday Market and Balancing Market, in accordance with relevant market provisions and regulations and based on the adopted strategy, using algorithmic/automated tools
• Provides specialized knowledge and guidance to Traders of all energy portfolios for effective portfolio management in accordance with strategy and market conditions
• Supports and proposes tactics for optimal participation of flexible portfolios in Day-Ahead Markets, Energy and Balancing Power Markets and particularly in the Intraday Market (IDA and XBID) and Real-Time Balancing Market (RTBM) with the aim of maintaining maximum commercial value and minimizing imbalance costs
• Participates in the planning of the dispatching of flexible energy portfolios, with the aim of operating them at optimal production level, based on market conditions and contractual obligations
• Designs, develops and ensures the effectiveness of algorithms for optimal dispatch and bid submission in energy and power markets for the Group's flexible portfolios
• Designs and oversees the development of tools and participates in the establishment of processes aimed at optimizing the financial result of energy flexibility portfolios participation in short-term energy markets using machine learning techniques
• Contributes to shaping the optimal strategy for the participation of energy flexibility portfolios in Electricity Markets, targeting economic efficiency and maximizing their usage value, considering their operational constraints
• Monitors continuously European electricity markets and responds promptly to changes in supply, demand and prices and prepares regular reports to Management regarding the financial performance of participation of energy flexibility portfolios participation in short-term energy markets, proposing solutions and tactics for strategy implementation

• Bachelor 0s degree from a University in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Applied Informatics or Economics
• Master 0s degree related to Energy or Data Science will be considered an additional qualification
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in designing and implementing algorithms for energy portfolio management and trading operations
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in Data Management
• At least five (5) years of experience in a power generation, supply, transmission or distribution company or in a consulting firm in the energy sector
• Certification as an energy trader from the Greek or Other European Energy Exchange
• Understanding of the operation of European electricity markets (Day-Ahead (DAM), Intraday (IDM), Balancing)
• Knowledge of Power BI and Python
• Knowledge of data management, visualization and analysis tools
• Excellent knowledge of the English language
