Role:
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Inspection on blades in the North American turbine fleet.

• Adhere to the Company’s values and behaviors as aspired by RWEA and Operations Vision.
• Assure that all operation and maintenance activities are performed in a safe manner consistent with policies and procedures for the wind farm site, including wearing essential safety equipment and identifying potential hazards.
• Pass physical fitness tests required to maintain Global Wind Organization Certification.
• Climb wind towers and access wind turbines to perform non‑destructive testing and inspections.
• Lift, carry, and transport essential equipment, tools, and materials to the job site.
• Support a team in performing NDT & inspections on turbines from GE, Siemens, Vestas, Gamesa, Acciona, Nordex, and/or Mitsubishi.
• Ensure all inspection and scan activities are accurately recorded to identify failure history, mean time between failures, and root causes.
• Perform safety and other wind‑farm tasks when assigned and back up personnel at other RWE sites when necessary.
• Ensure proper storage, maintenance, and handling of all NDT equipment.
• Perform all other duties assigned as may be required from time to time.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of overall experience in operations and/or maintenance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems, with at least 1 year in wind energy.
• All applicants must possess an unrestricted driver’s licence in good standing.
• Associate degree in sciences or related field from an accredited school preferred.
• A 2‑year or 4‑year college degree from an accredited school, other than correspondence or online, in a technical hard science (engineering, physics, power, or closely similar) may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• A current journeyman or master electrician licence may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• An A&P degree or analogous military training, with at least 2 years of hands‑on work experience, may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• A wind technician certificate programme can substitute for 1 year of experience.
• GWO Certification preferred.
• Training related to composite materials inspection and repair preferred.
• Training related to non‑destructive testing & inspections preferred.
• Willingly obtain and maintain an RWE‑sponsored NDT UT Level I & Level II if requested.
• Possess or willingly obtain an RWE‑sponsored Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS) 107a Pilot Licence if requested.
• Training and coursework related to composite materials inspection and repair will be a plus.
• Training and coursework related to non‑destructive testing & inspections will be a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in blade damage assessment required.
• Experience across multiple manufacturers (GE, Siemens, Vestas, Gamesa, Acciona, Nordex, Mitsubishi) and repair types strongly preferred.
• Experience with LPS systems.
• Knowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Possess core competencies required to access, assess, and inspect significant structural (CAT III) blade damage.
• Complete timesheet and expense reports weekly.
• Ensure that all documentation is accurately and neatly completed.
• Assist in filling out daily inspection reports and documentation as required.

• Pass physical fitness tests required to maintain Global Wind Organization Certification and any future tests as required.
• Willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned.
• Lift tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Work safely in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, etc.).
• Walk, climb, and stand extensively during the work day.
• Field‑based role with extensive travel and visits to other RWEA locations.
• Sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time.
• Long and irregular work hours occasionally on various RWE and third‑party wind sites throughout the U.S.
