Tomorrow RNG seeks a Landfill Gas Plant Operator to safely operate and maintain landfill gas-to-energy systems within our Energy & Utilities team. You will monitor equipment, optimize renewable natural gas production, and support environmental compliance. Key duties include inspections, troubleshooting, basic maintenance, and accurate data recording. Working in a field-based, safety-focused culture that values innovation, teamwork, and sustainability, you'll help drive reliable, eco-friendly energy solutions while contributing to a dynamic plant environment with real impact on global energy challenges.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate landfill gas-to-energy plant equipment to maximize renewable natural gas production
- Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor maintenance on compressors, blowers, and related systems
- Track plant performance data, document operating conditions, and report irregularities
- Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures and participate in safety meetings
- Collaborate with team members and contractors to support continuous improvement and reliability
- Assist with startups, shutdowns, and emergency responses in accordance with SOPs
- Calibrate and verify instrumentation and controls as directed by supervisors
- Support compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements through accurate recordkeeping
