The Technician III, Lead utilizes proficiency of skills, equipment knowledge, and primarily self-direction to perform work on assigned wind turbines with minimal to no supervision. The Technician III is able to modify (improve, correct) procedures and plans including safety protocol, turbine service, and/or installation processes. They take appropriate action from general direction and can successfully develop / implement robust action plans based upon performance analysis and issue diagnosis of wind plant equipment.

The Technician III is regarded as an "advanced-level" team member on the technician team providing technical direction / oversight and mentorship to lower level technicians. They are recognized and respected as either a multi-platform generalist or possess platform technical depth. The Technician III is able to handle all but the most challenging technical issues and customer inquiries independently with appropriate account team coordination / communications.

Position Overview The Service Technician role is to maintain and troubleshoot complex hydraulic and electrical controls circuits to maintain a wind turbine. The customer relies on our safe work practices, technical acumen, teamwork, leadership and fiscal stewardship to maintain the turbines in their best condition to generate power at the lowest overall cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain wind turbines with your team to keep communities powered.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, perform safety inspections, and cultivate a culture of safety.
  • Collaborate with your team to improve turbine performance, share best practices, and support change initiatives.
  • Document your work thoroughly and propose improvements to work instructions and operational processes.
  • Support specialty projects (e.g., crane work, CIM) and provide mentorship to junior technicians.
Who You Are
  • Minimum 3 years of wind experience, including work with heavy equipment and cranes. Task Based Certification (TBC) Level 300 or willingness to obtain.
  • Highly developed problem-solving abilities and an engaged approach to responsibilities.
  • Safety-conscious and a role model for best practices, with advanced knowledge of energy isolation and risk mitigation.
  • A collaborative team player who mentors others and leads by example.
  • Ability to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
  • Physically fit, comfortable working at heights and in varying conditions, with a high school diploma (or equivalent), valid driver’s license, and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Salary & Career Growth We offer attractive pay packages, performance bonuses, and opportunities to support your professional development. The base range for this position is 33.65
-41.65/hr., with potential for additional variable compensation. Pay will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
