Equipment Specialist - Operations

Job Summary Job Description

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant equipment and the entire generating unit. Performs duties involving mechanical and electrical maintenance.

• High School Diploma, or GED equivalent is required
• 5 years' experience in coal fired super-critical power plant environment preferred.
• 3 years industrial plant experience required.
• All applicants must be a successful candidate on the Plant Operator Selection System/Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (POSS / MASS) program in order to be considered a candidate for this position. POSS / MASS exams are administered on an as-needed basis by Human Resources and all communication concerning the testing is sent to the candidate's email address provided during the application process.
• Prior Power Plant Experience is preferred.
• Good Knowledge of basic math, reading and writing skills required.
• Ability to use all hand tools and various tools
