What Role You Will Play On Our TeamThe Compression Commissioning Technician performs pre-commissioning, startup, stabilization, and turnover activities for new or modified compression facilities.
The technician verifies that compressor packages and supporting facility systems are properly installed, aligned, tested, and ready to be safely placed into service. The role works closely with Operations, Automation, Electrical, Construction, Engineering, equipment vendors, and other affected groups to resolve startup issues and achieve a safe, reliable turnover.
This position is focused on commissioning and startup activities rather than the normal long-term operation of compression facilities after turnover.
The position will primarily support facilities in the Midland, Texas area and may require travel to multiple field locations.
What You Will Do- Perform commissioning and startup activities in accordance with the Work Management System, Process Safety Management System, company safety procedures, environmental requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Follow applicable personal protective equipment, Job Safety Analysis, safe work permit, isolation, emergency-response, hydrogen sulfide, and emergency shutdown requirements.
- Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Review walkdowns and identify field readiness concerns, installation mismatches, incomplete work, and punch-list items.
