Duration: 6 - 8 months

Pay Rate: $65/hr straight time | $97.50/hr OT (anything in excess of 40 per week)

Mobilization: Miles at the government rate, meals ($68/day receipts not required), travel time at the ST rate, and any lodging expensed back according to receipts.

Home Leave: Home leave is provided once a month after initial 8 weeks; travel expenses (mileage or flight) reimbursed.

The Client is seeking a contract LOTO Coordinator to administer the lockout/tagout and hazardous energy control program during construction, commissioning, and startup of a simple cycle combustion turbine (GE 7FA) addition at an existing power generation facility. Because the work ties into an operating plant, this individual will coordinate isolations and tie-ins with the existing facility’s operations team and align the project LOTO program with plant procedures as systems are energized and turned over.

The role requires a disciplined safety professional with hazardous energy control experience on generation or heavy industrial projects.

• Administer and enforce the project lockout/tagout and hazardous energy control program throughout construction, commissioning, and startup
• Develop and maintain equipment-specific energy isolation plans and LOTO procedures for electrical, mechanical, and fluid systems
• Coordinate isolations and tie-ins with the existing facility’s operations team; align the project LOTO program with plant procedures and permit requirements
• Manage energization boundaries as systems transition from construction to commissioning to operational status
• Issue, track, and audit locks, tags, and isolation points; maintain the master LOTO log and boundary drawings
• Conduct LOTO training and orientation for site personnel and subcontractors; verify authorized and affected employee compliance
• Perform field audits and walkdowns to verify isolation integrity and procedure compliance; stop work where deficiencies exist
• Support safe energization sequencing of switch gear, the turbine generator, and BOP systems in coordination with the commissioning team
• Maintain accurate records of isolations, permits, audits, and incidents; report status to the Client’s project and safety leadership
• Enforce compliance with OSHA 29 CFR , NFPA 70E, and Client safety protocols across all site personnel

• Minimum 5 years administering LOTO and hazardous energy control programs on power generation, heavy industrial, or large commissioning projects
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA , OSHA 1926, and NFPA 70E as applied to commissioning and startup environments
• Experience coordinating isolations and tie-ins at operating facilities (brownfield); combustion turbine or generating plant experience preferred
• Able to read P&IDs, one-line diagrams, and system boundary drawings to define isolation points
• Strong documentation and training skills; able to hold trades and subcontractors accountable to the program
