Mechanical Engineer
The Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of our plastic manufacturing processes and equipment. This position requires a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, a strong background in plastic manufacturing, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the plastics or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) for design and modeling.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies related to plastics.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non‑standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job‑related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
- Experience with process automation and robotics.
- Familiarity with injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding processes.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Design, develop, and optimize mechanical systems and components used in plastic manufacturing processes.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and manuals.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure product specifications are met.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new projects and modifications.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Support the implementation of new technologies into product specification applications.
- Provide material engineering support for continuous improvements of material and manufacturing processes.
- Analyze product failure data in order to determine causes of problems and develop solutions.
- Perform equipment abnormal analysis and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct engineering evaluation on performance of machinery used on manufacturing process.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
