Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer products and systems for material processing.

Job Duties:
  • Evaluate systems and products by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of mechanics, hydraulics, and materials.
  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements, applying engineering principles.
  • Specify system components or direct modifications to ensure conformance with design and performance specifications.
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose issues and recommend solutions to maintenance crews.
  • Confirm system and product capabilities through designing feasibility and testing methods.
  • Develop products by studying customer requirements, researching, testing, manufacturing, and assembly methods and materials.
  • Design and modify equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
  • Ensure system and product quality by designing testing methods, testing finished products, and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
  • Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer's instructions and procedures.
  • Maintain system and product databases.
  • Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as needed.

Qualifications:

Requirements Analysis, Design Skills, Presenting Technical Information, Equipment Maintenance, Conceptual Skills, Quality Focus, General Consulting Skills, 3D Modeling experience.
