LCRA is seeking a highly motivated expert and people-focused leader for its Maintenance team! As Supervisor, you will lead a diverse team, while performing and directing maintenance and light construction projects. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to travel across Central Texas to various work sites (with travel accommodations provided). • Plan, supervise, coordinate and direct activities of skilled craft personnel working in and around high voltage equipment in a power plant, substation or transmission line environment.
• Monitor day-to-day operations of the equipment and systems in assigned areas.
• Provide safety leadership through safety procedures and protocols.
• Perform electrical work, including insulation testing and maintenance, inspection, repair, testing, adjustment, installation and/or removal of transmission, distribution and/or control equipment such as motor control systems and interlocks, high voltage switch gear and protective relays, mobiles substations.
• Direct and provide technical support, relative to project execution, system priorities, and operating decisions during normal and emergency situations.
• Provide detailed reporting to leadership.

• Nine or more years of experience in electrical or mechanical equipment installation, maintenance or repair in a high-voltage environment or transmission line installation, maintenance or repair, including one year of leadership responsibilities. A degree(s) in electrical power theory, electronics, instrumentation, controls, industrial or mechanical maintenance or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
• Driver’s license.

• Class A Texas commercial driver’s license.
• Skill in using a work management system.
• Skill in communicating effectively with team members, supervision / management and external organizations under normal and emergency conditions.
• Knowledge of DC battery banks.
• Knowledge of substation equipment 12KV to 500KV.
