Position Overview
:
The Operational Test and Analysis Support Specialist will support HQ Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC) in providing System Engineering Support (SES) services for ICBM and helicopter operations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide mission analysis support to assist in defining the scope of future ICBM modification programs and Sentinel test missions in order to meet test objectives, range sensor, and range safety constraints
  • Recommend mission designs for ICBM modification programs and Sentinel relative to accessibility, flight safety analysis and key state vector and sequence event data
  • Provide engineering expertise for ICBM modification programs and Sentinel for potential Launch Analysis Groups (LAG) in order to investigate flight test anomalies and provide analyses in determining causes/malfunctions and develop corrective action solutions that mitigate recurrence
  • Provide expertise to ICBM modification programs and Sentinel flight test failure analysis, and any launch anomaly investigations and possible recovery efforts and contribute to any Flight Investigation/Anomaly Report
  • Assist in meeting ICBM modification programs and Sentinel future flight and ground test requirements and monitoring the results of ICBM tests as related to ICBM future modifications and Sentinel
  • Assist in other significant ICBM modification programs and Sentinel flight test and other technical issues requiring mathematical or engineering support
  • Provide technical support, reach-back, and continuity for ICBM modification programs and Sentinel future operations support and testing programs as directed by AFGSC/A3
  • Provide engineering support, reach-back, and continuity to AFGSC/A3 as part of the Sentinel Task Team embedded in ICBM Sustainment Project Officer’s Group, Interface and Control Subgroup, Joint Test Working Group, Requirements Subgroup, Safety and Reliability Subgroup, Maintenance and Logistics Subgroup, and Joint Test Working Group
  • Interface with AFNWC, NNSA, SNL, LANL, LLNL, and other entities to provide engineering support, reach-back and continuity to A3X for future Warhead Life Extension programs
  • Provide briefings, papers, reports, memorandums and other documentation as required for the ICBM operations mission
  • Provide other technical, administrative and programmatic support within the scope of the PWS as directed by applicable A3 Division Chief
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must possess a Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree
  • Must have eligibility for access to:
    Critical Nuclear Weapons Design Information (CNWDI), Restricted Data (RD), Formerly Restricted Data (FRD) and Nuclear Command & Control - Extremely Sensitive Information (NC2-ESI)
Desired Qualifications
  • Engineering degree desired
  • At least 10 years’ headquarters (MAJCOM, NAF) staff experience
  • At least 15 years’ ICBM engineering experience
  • At least 15 years’ ICBM Operational test and evaluation experience
