Job Summary

We are seeking a Geologist to support exploration and resource development efforts for a unique rare earth deposit as the company advances toward the initial development of a surface mining operation. In this role, you will analyze geological formations, collect and interpret field data, and help define the size, quality, and characteristics of the deposit to support mine planning and early‑stage development activities.

This position works closely with engineering, mining, and technical teams in a fast‑paced, early‑stage public company environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct geological analysis of rock formations and mineralization to support resource definition.
  • Perform on‑site work at active drill sites, including core logging, boxing, labeling, and sample management.
  • Oversee daily drilling operations, ensuring safety, data quality, and alignment with project objectives.
  • Collect and analyze rock, soil, and mineral samples to assess composition and purity.
  • Prepare geological maps, cross‑sections, and technical reports to support modeling and development activities.
  • Estimate deposit size, depth, and quality to inform early‑stage feasibility efforts.
  • Utilize tools such as drones, radar imaging, and mapping software to gather and interpret site data.
  • Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders to support drilling logistics (e.g., water, fuel, road access).
  • Communicate with local contractors and stakeholders to address drillers’ needs, such as water, fuel, or road maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate geological and drilling records to support technical and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field.
  • 2–4 years of exploration drilling experience, including core logging and on‑site drill support.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Familiarity with geological mapping and resource characterization methods.
  • Experience with geospatial or geological modeling tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MSHA safety regulations preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
