Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Support engineering decisions based on radiation effects on overall system performance.
- Design and harden systems across multiple radiation effects, including dose rate, total ionizing dose (TID), neutron displacement damage (NDD), and single event effects (SEE).
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure radiation hardening is maintained across the product lifecycle.
- Assist in test plan development and review.
- Review reports.
- Participate in radiation review boards.
- Help generate templates and guides.
- Assist in developing training materials and tools for new hires.
- Assist with testing efforts, test station setup and validation, and verification efforts.
- Collaborate on program requirements and provide feedback on approaches to meet requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or other relevant field.
- 10+ years of radiation engineering, electronic component testing, or related experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. US citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Nuclear Engineering.
- 10+ years of radiation engineering experience with the Department of Defense Active Secret or Top-Secret DoD security clearance.
$120,000 - $190,000 annually. The compensation range is an estimate of what is offered for this role; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and applicable laws.
