HGA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a portfolio of combined cycle (CT/CCGT) power generation projects in West Texas
. This will provide critical oversight on multiple projects for an expected duration of 3 years, currently spanning engineering and construction phases, ensuring alignment with project objectives, schedules, and budgets. The selected candidate will act as a key interface between the Owner and EPC contractor, delivering technical and project management expertise across all project stages.
Provide Owner’s Engineer (OE) support across a portfolio of 5 combined cycle projects
Oversee project execution in Gaines County, TX
Support Owner in coordination with EPC contractor
Lead or support project management (PM) and construction management (CM) activities, cost controls and forecasting, and schedule development, tracking, and reporting
Conduct and support engineering design reviews and technical evaluations and constructability assessments
Manage and evaluate change control processes and risk identification and mitigation strategies
Provide regular reporting on project performance, risks, and key milestones
Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Qualifications & Requirements10-15+ years of experience working as a Project Manager supporting projects worth approx. $500m
Previous power plant experience required. Proven experience supporting combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) or simple cycle (CT) generation projects preferred
Demonstrated experience in:
Owner’s Engineer (OE) roles or equivalent
Project management and construction oversight
Cost and schedule controls
Ability to work across multiple project sites and phases simultaneously
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Candidates with relevant experience in petrochemical or similar large-scale industrial projects may be considered.
On-site support role with travel to project locations
