Production Internship At Mercedes-Benz Werk Rastatt
The Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies in the world. With the Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest providers of premium and luxury cars and vans. Our department is responsible for creating and joining the vehicle body panels including the roof. Our main joining processes are resistance spot welding and bonding. Current projects include the commissioning of the MMA successor series plants as new and re-use plant and the integration of another derivative into an existing line.

Then it is high time to gain practical experience and participate in exciting challenges and tasks.
During your internship in the Compact Cars Competence Center in Rastatt, you will learn the basic techniques and processes of the highly automated body production of the current and upcoming generations of the A-/B-/CLA- and GLA-class.
Join us in the production area (MO/CRRZ2) and gain an overview of a highly efficient production with the highest quality standards. The international production network in the Compact Cars segment also enables you to participate in projects together with our partner sites.
These challenges will come to you, among others:
- Project participation to learn and experience professional work on the shop floor
- Project participation in planned new launches
- Participation in cost center management accompanied by masters to control cost centers through key figures
- Participation in the optimization of production facilities and work processes to ensure output
- Learning about robotic technology in individual production facilities - application of modern analysis and evaluation tools (facility efficiency, measurement technology, body control, welding control, quality systems)
- Cooperation with planning departments, suppliers, and operators
The activity can start in September 2026.
Qualifications:
- Technical studies in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering, logistics, or a comparable course
- Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing
- Secure handling of MS-Office
- Commitment and team capability
- Analytical thinking and strategic working method
- Communication skills and creativity
- Self-initiative and independence
