Position Overview

The Micron Idaho Semiconductor Manufacturing (Triton) LLC seeks a Semiconductor Process Engineer to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes, improve yield and cost, and support high‑quality production across fabrication and support equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Start up, develop, and optimize processes to enhance product quality, process yield, and productivity while reducing cost and risk.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve process‑related problems using failure analysis, FMEA, 8‑D, SPC/FDC, and other methodologies.
  • Coordinate and implement process, equipment, and material evaluations/optimizations at process steps, leading yield‑improvement and cost‑optimization activities.
  • Handle new process baseline qualifications and audit/coordinate with material suppliers to meet quality, cost, and risk goals.
  • Supervise process health, provide proactive redundancy plans for bottlenecks affecting fab cycle time or turns, and manage risk mitigation.
  • Travel up to 20 % internationally as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical/Materials/Physics Engineering, Chemistry, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive post‑baccalaureate experience in a semiconductor process‑engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication‑area process flows and support equipment, including chemical vapor deposition (CVD), physical vapor deposition (PVD), and related systems.
  • Proficiency with SPC principles and film‑deposition metrics, including monitoring and analysis of film parameters.
  • Experience with DRAM function, probe data, and parametrically derived data.
  • Data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills using tools such as JMP.
  • Ability to identify chronic film‑deposition issues and implement long‑term corrective solutions.
