Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) – IMMEDIATELY HIRING! A&P Base Mechanic – Rotor Wing FULL‑TIME Opportunity in Jacksboro, TN
- Starting Salary: $65,239 – $94,567 per year
- IA Stipend: $2,080
- Sign‑On Bonus: $12,500
We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of the Med‑Trans fleet. The technician will support our EC135 and H130 airframes, ensuring the team can safely maintain and deliver timely, high‑quality transit services and patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs, and reporting status to the Lead Technician.
- Manage inventory checks, update equipment tracking logs, place replacement requests when necessary, and document part expenditures.
- Document service paperwork and FAA information as required, adhering to policies, procedures, and information‑security standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
- Use appropriate communication methods to coordinate efforts between departments, vendors, and team members.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health personnel, public safety staff, fellow AMTs, and operations staff.
Required Qualifications
- EC135 and/or H130 maintenance experience.
- Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience, with a minimum of six months of helicopter maintenance within the last 24 months.
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and maintenance support and planning.
- Must live within one hour of the base.
- Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- FAA Inspection Authorization Certification.
- Related experience under CFR Part 135.
- Autopilot maintenance experience.
- Avionics and electrical repair experience.
