Position: Field Engineer - Permanent - Texas
Location: Fort Stockton

Overview

We're partnering with a growing company in the natural gas processing and midstream energy sector to hire a Field Engineer for a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Fort Stockton, Texas.

If you have experience with gas processing plants, pipelines, compressor stations, or cryogenic facilities, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting operations, capital projects, and facility optimization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day engineering support for gas processing facilities, pipelines, compressor stations, and related assets.
  • Lead and coordinate engineering projects from scope development through construction and commissioning.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, efficiency, and performance.
  • Support maintenance, operations, measurement, and instrumentation teams.
  • Assist with equipment selection, design reviews, startups, turnarounds, and commissioning activities.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
  • Ensure projects are executed safely and in compliance with environmental and operational standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 4–8 years of experience in the oil & gas, midstream, or gas processing industry.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: compressor stations, pipelines and gathering systems, cryogenic processing, amine or dehydration systems, rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, or turbines.
  • Knowledge of project execution, construction support, commissioning, and field operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and contractor management skills.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with Pro Max process simulation software.
