Electrical Engineer

Location:

Muleshoe, Texas Type: 12 month Contract Compensation: $75.00 - $78.50/hour Contractor Work Model:
Onsite – onsite PD: $178/day

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and contribute to large-scale renewable projects, including solar and wind installations near Earth, TX.
  • Evaluate project drawings, review technical documentation, and handle requests for information (RFIs) across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project stakeholders during submittal reviews, including evaluating drawings, studies, and analyses.
  • Assist during construction by addressing electrical engineering questions, clarifying design details, and troubleshooting site issues.
  • Manage RFI's and non-conformance requests, ensuring design compliance and interpretative accuracy of drawings.
  • Support a multifunctional group involving facility operations, siting and land rights, environmental teams, EPC contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Coordinate land-use matters, secure permits, and work with federal and state agencies like FERC and local authorities.
  • Utilize technology applications such as Project Wise, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Procore for document review and communication.
  • Work closely with internal and external teams to ensure project progress, compliance, and technical accuracy.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of electrical engineering experience, with 2-3 years specifically in renewable generation projects (construction or engineering design).
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to troubleshoot, interpret design drawings, and resolve project conflicts.
  • Proficiency with NCRs, RFIs, scope management, and contract understanding.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally within a large, matrixed organization, demonstrating teamwork, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Preferred:
    Professional Engineering license or Engineering in Training/certification.
  • Experience working with utilities or renewable technologies is a plus.
