Overview
Pierce Engineering is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Structural Engineer (EIT) to join our growing structural engineering practice. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with experienced professional engineers on a wide variety of structural projects. These include commercial, industrial, municipal, institutional, and civil engineering assignments.

Position Type:
Full-Time
- Perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation systems.
- Prepare engineering calculations and technical reports.
- Develop construction drawings and details using industry-standard software.
- Assist with structural design for new construction, assessments, investigations, and rehabilitation projects.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and other design professionals.
- Conduct occasional site visits and field observations.
- Support project managers in delivering high-quality engineering services on schedule and within budget.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural engineering emphasis from an ABET-accredited university.
- Successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination prior to beginning employment.
- Eligible for Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification in Texas.
- Permanent authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
- Strong academic record.
- Internship or co-op experience in structural consulting.
- Experience with structural analysis and design software such as RISA-3D or similar programs.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or Micro Station.
