We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Wi‑Fi Test Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, execute, and report results from comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of our leading‑edge Wi‑Fi‑enabled products.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including hardware and software engineers, to identify and resolve Wi‑Fi‑related issues, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Have a strong background in wireless communication protocols, hands‑on experience with Wi‑Fi testing tools, strong customer‑facing communication skills, and a relentless passion for delivering exceptional Wi‑Fi experiences to end‑users.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop test plans, including strategies, methodologies, and best practices for Wi‑Fi testing. Negotiate with customers for approval on each project's test plan, schedule, technical approaches, and resource (HW/SW) support.
- Develop, execute, and create reports from test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and interoperability of Wi‑Fi‑enabled products.
- Perform system‑level testing of Wi‑Fi features, including network connectivity, security, roaming, and throughput, to identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineers (Airgain or customer sides) to define Wi‑Fi test requirements and provide feedback on design improvements.
- Set up and maintain test environments, including Wi‑Fi networks, routers, and test equipment, and maintain the test house environment.
- Conduct Wi‑Fi signal analysis and troubleshooting using specialized tools and equipment.
- Keep up to date with the latest Wi‑Fi technologies, DUT and equipment, standards, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in testing processes.
- Provide clear and concise reports on test results, including performance metrics and recommendations for optimization to Sales and Customer review and approval.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years related experience in wireless communication.
- Solid understanding of wireless communication protocols, especially Wi‑Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
- Strong experience in Wi‑Fi testing over‑the‑air tests, including familiarity with test methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Network experience in IP addresses (v4/v6), subnet mask, routing, etc.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles, configurations, and protocols.
- Experience with Wi‑Fi testing in the context of consumer electronics or networking devices.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (such as FCC, CTIA, 3
GPP) for Wi‑Fi products. - Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) principles and antenna design considerations.
- Proficiency in using Wi‑Fi testing tools such as desk and laptop computers, spectrum analyzers, traffic generators, and network analyzers.
